The Indian Ocean Theatre Company presents the world premiere production of A Theist (A Mundane Comedy). Donald and Donna find themselves sharing a dream together. As they explore the surreal surroundings of their common dreamscape, they get drawn into a friendly debate which questions the existence of God and the nature of faith. They discover that there are no easy answers, only cheap laughs.

The Indian Ocean Theatre Company is known for its offbeat brand of comedy, often incorporating wordplay and elements of the theater of the absurd. IOTC has presented its work at the Capital Fringe Festival, the Kennedy Center's Page-to-Stage Festival, as well as at other readings in the Washington, DC region. Written by playwright John Sowalsky, A Theist will be directed by veteran stage and screen actor Harley Venton.
