Reclaiming Vietnam goes to San Francisco Fringe

Help Reclaiming Vietnam broaden its reach and make its west coast debut in San Francisco!

     San Francisco, CA, United States
    This is a Fiscally-Sponsored Project

    Fiscally Sponsored by Fractured Atlas

    THE PLAY

Growing up in a bi-racial home with a white mother and a Vietnamese father,
Kim spent years wishing away her father’s less-than-desirable immigrant
status and skin color and all the painful family secrets she inherited.
Determined to face her demons, she joins a volunteer organization in
Vietnam. As she begins to discover the beauty of her roots, she confronts
the trauma of her past and put its secrets behind her forever.

    HITTING THE ROAD

I'm taking my show to California!

This September, Reclaiming Vietnam is featured in the San Francisco Fringe Festival.

And I’m inviting YOU to be part of making it all happen. As a sponsored
project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization,
Reclaiming Vietnam is eligible for charitable donations. Your contribution
will help pay festival fees, airfare, advertising, and artist's fees
including my sound technician, light technician, director, and stage
    manager.

    HISTORY

I've performed Reclaiming Vietnam at the New York Fringe Festival, the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Emerging Artist Theater Festival at 3 colleges,
as well as a retreat center, the NYC Asian American Student Conference and
this play is still going strong. Written by me and directed by Elizabeth
Browning, the piece addresses issues of culture and identity, shame and
self-imposed racism. San Francisco is a great audience for this show.

I so appreciate any amount you can contribute.

If you can't donate, please know that your encouragement has helped this
show gain momentum and recognition. And for that, I thank you!

Please share this site on social media—it’s a huge way for you to help, too!
