My name is Gregory Hernandez, I'm the Producer and Director of "1.5 Million"
I am writing with amazing news: After five long and grueling years, our arduous journey is nearly complete. Thanks to you our social impact documentary feature about the literacy crisis in The Bronx is on the doorstep of distribution. That's right, we see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to your support in donating, sharing, following us on social media, communicating via email and attending our official premiere in May, we are nearing our ultimate goal: Make this documentary accessible to our community.

We are in our toughest fight yet. Distribution is the most daunting aspect for any film, especially an independent film. I'm born and raised in The Bronx. I want this film to make an impact here. We are negotiating distribution offers with agencies and production companies. We are working to retain our library rights so that way we can host the free screenings even while our film is on a streaming platform. We must be able to achieve this distribution goal. As you may know, for distribution and film festival submissions we have to submit a shorter version that is more likely to garner attention!
That being said, every director wants to have a true version of their project that has an extended run time which allows their vision to viewed in its entire context.

You can have access to the Director's Cut which is 135 minutes versus the cut for distribution which is 107 minutes.
