THANK YOU!

WE MADE IT!

We are so grateful for the generous support from the community and are thrilled and honored to report that we surpassed our goal and raised $15,022 to fund dragonslayer!

This money allows us to pay our artists and collaborators fair wages for their hard work, have professional costume, sound, and set design, and grow this work into the big vision we've had for it ever since we first premiered it in 2019.

Thank you so much for helping us get there. We hope to see you at the show!

warmly,
Audrey n Alex

Ending at midnight tonight!

We’re almost there - literally! We have until midnight tonight to raise $1075 more to meet our stretch goal of $15k.

If everyone who has already donated, stretches with us and gives just $13 more (spooky! and appropriate,) we will meet our goal.

The majority of our money raised goes toward paying our dancers and collaborators a fair wage. The support of our patrons and community is valuable and treasured. We're so thankful for you!

We're almost there!

Thanks to the generous support and enthusiasm from our incredible community, we are stretching our goal to $15k!

Our executive producer, John Robinson, is matching donations up to $2000, so contribute today and double your impact!

with gratitude,
Audrey n Alex

AnA Collaborations is beyond excited to be bringing their immersive dance theater epic, dragonslayer, to Seattle this winter!

dragonslayer originally premiered in Brooklyn, NY in 2019 to sold out audiences and rave reviews. We've been patiently waiting for the opportunity to revive this beast ever since. Now it's 2023 (A LOT has happened), and the opportunity has finally arrived.

dragonslayer will premiere at the historic chapel at Good Shepherd Center as part of the Wayward Series on February 8th and 9th 2024 with two performances each night. The chapel's original stained glass, recessed wood paneling, and stunning balcony make it the perfect location for audiences to journey through a merging of medieval past and post apocalyptic future. They will chase new perspectives on the ancient Polish tale of the Wawel Dragon and come to their own conclusions about who the real monster is and how best to overcome it.

We are raising funds to support the expansion of this work into a multi-track show with a cast of 10 performers and complete with set, costume, and lighting design.

You can expect thrilling and nuanced storytelling, visceral choreography, layered sound design, intimate and memorable moments between performers and audiences, and transformative production design.

Your donation will go toward:

  • 80% Artist Compensation: All performers, and designers will be fairly paid for their creative contributions and hard work.

  • 15% Quality Materials: World-building is only as convincing as the caliber of its physical makeup and application. To match the artist's creativity and hard work, we will need the proper materials to bring the characters and setting of this story to life.

  • 5% Documentation and Marketing: We need resources to ensure the word gets out and the project is shareable after this run closes.  We want the most amount of people to get to experience dragonslayer!

Interested in donating through Benevity (a.k.a. American Online Giving Foundation) because of the employer match? Fantastic! We can accept this type of matching gift. On Benevity, select Fractured Atlas as the non-profit and in the designation section put “AnA Collaborations.” If you donate using Benevity, please email us at anacollaborations@gmail.com and let us know the date your donation was submitted. This helps us and Fractured Atlas track donations.

THE TEAM

AnA Directors, Audrey Rachelle (former cast member of Sleep No More) and Alex Oliva (Original cast member of The Lost Supper) have choreographed, directed, and produced multidisciplinary and immersive works both on and off screen since 2015. In those eight years they have collaborated with over 30 different artists including dancers, filmmakers, musicians, composers, visual artists, writers, actors, photographers, and set designers and received support from Shoreline Public Art, 4Culture, and Mini Mart City Park, The Warhol Foundation, and NW Film Forum. They have been featured on MoTV alongside Grammy-award winning saxophonist, Johnny Butler, and in music videos by emerging singers Raycee Jones and Axel Barragan. Their first short film, Seasoned (2017), was featured in film festivals throughout the United States and received multiple awards including the StandardVision Showcase Award which gave Seasoned a month-long run in downtown Los Angeles.

We're delighted to have John Robinson as our Executive Producer and guiding light as we look to connect more deeply with the Seattle arts community.

Maciej Lewandowski will be composing an original score and playing live during all performances. His work focuses on the capacity for sound to affect the environment/space it is produced in. His projects have been presented at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, Brooklyn Studios for Dance, NURTUREart, 67 Ludlow, Outpost Artist Resources, and Panoply Performance Lab. In a performing or design capacity, he has been involved in productions shown at NYU Skirball Center, Abrons Arts Center, National Sawdust, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, Christ Church Philadelphia, JACK, and more.

Producer, Assistant Director, and Returning Cast Member Ellie van Bever is incredibly well versed in keeping all departments on schedule and accounted for. She is invaluable to the success of this project through all of the behind the scenes logistics as well as to the creative development of the choreography and immersive design. We are greatly appreciative of her contribution.

Lighting Design by Blake Horn. This will be AnA's 5th collaboration with award-winning cinematographer Blake Horn. We are confident Blake will bring dimension to our creative vision that highlights subtle storytelling while building big picture atmosphere.

Stay tuned for the announcement of our local Seattle cast and incredible costume and production designers!

Help us to create a light at the end of the dreary tunnel of winter!
