Art Haus presents Noble Beast at Burning Man 2023
For Burning Man 2023, Art Haus presents Noble Beast, a ballet/orchestra collaboration at Nosotres art piece, celebrating our shedding of the ego and rediscovery of the noble beast within each of us.
Noble Beast at NOSOTRES For Burning Man 2023- Animalia, Art Haus is excited to present Noble Beast, a celebration of our personal and collective journey as we continue shedding our egos and rewilding our beings to discover the noble beast within each of us. Noble Beast will be presented at NOSOTRES, a new work by artists Simón Malvaez and Brenden Darby which is a monument to the ancient history of the queer community inspired by the Aztec myth of the deity Quetzalcoatl’s journey through the nine layers of the Realm of Death to Mictlán, and serves as a reminder that queer people have been here since the beginning of time.
Re-imagining Classical Arts A new work by Robin Dekkers, Noble Beast will be set to the music of Anna Clyne, Anna Meredith, Nicole Lizée, and Max Richter, all living composers who are actively redefining orchestral music in the 21st century. Art Haus is dedicated to creating original collaborations that breathes new life into orchestral music together with choreographers, dancers, visual artists, costume designers and multi-disciplinary performers, and sharing these live performances with the next generation of potential art lovers. Over the past 6 years Art Haus has shared classical and contemporary works with audiences who might not otherwise be exposed to live orchestral performances, creating new interest in concert music and dance while pushing the art forms forward.
About Art Haus Art Haus Collective is a performing arts organization dedicated to bringing edgy, spectacular performances of classical and contemporary works into unique spaces. In 2017 their performance of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring at Burning Man drew a crowd of estimated 10,000 and a photo capturing the moment earned a spot in the Smithsonian “No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man” exhibit. The group is made up largely of members of the Bay Area arts communities as well as artists from all over the world. Art Haus is creating exciting new experiences around classical music that defy expectations.
Please help us spread the classical & contemporary arts to new audiences, and bring this new work to life in Black Rock City!
