Welcome to the BALLBOYS Game, Set, Matching Campaign to raise a second $15,000 toward BALLBOYS becoming a full-fledged production in 2027!
As we grow our 80's tennis comedy musical BALLBOYS, we must support the amazing actors, musicians and creatives helping us create, develop and perform the show. We have several events in the months ahead in both New Hampshire and Minneapolis, and we can’t wait to share the piece with you. Creating art in community requires funding — and that’s why we’re asking for your help!
Thanks in large part to a lead donation from the Edmund and Betsy Cabot Foundation, BALLBOYS has already raised $15,000 in matching gifts. In order to go from "15-love" to our goal of $30,000 - to "30-love" – we need your help!
We completed our first two goals this year: we raised our first $15,000 -- and we recorded a set of high-quality song demos. In September, we are hosting two public concert readings of BALLBOYS in New Hampshire -- Thursday, September 17 at 7 PM at Phillips Exeter Academy, and Saturday, September 19 at The Theater In The Wood in North Conway, NH.
Your donation will go directly to pay for the New Hampshire experience -- 7-8 actors, a director & music director, 4 musicians, and a stage manager, along with space and equipment rentals, sound and lighting, travel, logistics, promotion, and other related costs. In addition, we have contracted with an arranger to notate the entire score, and he has begun his work (which is exciting). We are also planning more events in the months ahead, and we hope to plan with a theater in Minneapolis for a developmental run of the show.
