Welcome to the BALLBOYS Game, Set, Matching Campaign to raise a second $15,000 toward BALLBOYS becoming a full-fledged production in 2027!
As we grow our tennis comedy musical BALLBOYS, we must support the amazing actors, musicians and creatives helping us create, develop and perform the show. We just put up two performances in New Hampshire, with more coming soon in Minneapolis, and we can’t wait to share the piece with you. Creating art in community requires funding — and that’s why we’re asking for your help!
Thanks in large part to a lead donation from the Edmund and Betsy Cabot Foundation, BALLBOYS has already raised $15,000 in matching gifts. In order to go from "15-love" to our goal of $30,000 - to "30-love" – we need your help!
We completed our first two goals this year: we raised our first $15,000 -- and we recorded a set of high-quality song demos. In September, we hosted two public concert readings of BALLBOYS in New Hampshire -- Thursday, September 17 at 7 PM at Phillips Exeter Academy, and Saturday, September 19 at The Theater In The Wood in North Conway, NH.
Your donation will help us remain highly competitive in paying our actors, musicians, and directors, along with space and equipment rentals, sound and lighting, travel, logistics, promotion, and colorful headbands. In addition, we contracted with an arranger to notate the entire score, and the results have been beyond our expectations!
We are also planning more events in the months ahead -- without saying too much too soon, we are in exciting conversations to see BALLBOYS realized at its next stage, with choreography, set design, costumes, and a prop chainsaw!
