When the Coronavirus pandemic hit in early 2020, Boston in 100 Words suffered financially just like everyone else. We decided we needed to find new fundraising streams, but we didn’t want to sacrifice our commitment to always making the original stories and artwork of Boston in 100 Words free to the public. What could we offer that reflected our core mission to inspire creativity in everyone and celebrate Boston’s local culture at the same time? A cookbook, of course!
All proceeds made to this campaign will support the 2021 edition of the Boston in 100 Words flash fiction writing contest. Donations of $10 or more will receive our 2021 e-cookbook as a thank you for your support.

This beautifully designed e-cookbook includes recipes from beloved Boston media personalities, such as WBUR’s Tiziana Dearing, WGBH’s Jared Bowen, and WERS’s Howard “D” Simpson. We also have recipes from renowned local restaurants, including Darryl’s Corner Bar and Kitchen and Flour Bakery, as well as up-and-coming local chefs like Danny Pontes-Macedo of VictorEats Food Truck. And finally, we’ve included recipes from some of our very own Boston in 100 Words winning authors. We invite you to make these dishes for your friends and family and while you eat, to share your stories of resilience and joy with each other. Thank you for supporting Boston in 100 Words.
