This season, we’re thrilled to welcome Adam Barruch and Mark Caserta to create new works alongside Artistic Director Brian Josiah Martinez, with a revival of While We Wait Here by Justin Rapaport—all premiering at our first-ever Short Forms this January.
Highlighting a special interview with Season THREE featured choreographer Jessi Stegall, the funds raised from the Mini Gala will go directly toward the production of Boykin THREE | Chicago—an evening of six diverse, powerful dance works set to premiere in 2026—as well as our new Strategic Access Initiative, an outreach program designed to make contemporary dance more accessible to schools, communities, and audiences who might not otherwise experience it, created with proprietary Boykin repertoire and in accordance with the National Core Arts Standards in Dance, free and accessible to all high school classrooms.
But we can’t do it without you.
We’re projecting costs similar to our previous seasons and aiming to raise approximately $22,620 to ensure this project remains equitable, sustainable, and accessible for everyone involved.
Projected Expenses Include:
âś… Choreographer Fees
âś… Dancer Stipends: $500 per week for full-time rehearsal
✅ Rehearsal Space Rental: $60 per hour in Chicago — over 100 hours of rehearsal projected ($8,220 total)
âś… Costume Design: Includes designer consultation and sourcing
âś… Theater Rental (Ann Barzel Theater): $1,500 for one-night performance
âś… Photography and Videography: Vital for our Strategic Access Initiative
