I’m Corinne Lohner — I’m a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator based in New York City. Somehow, someway (luck, sweat, blood, all of the above...?), I have created a decade- long career for myself as a performer, choreographer, and educator. 

Right now, I am a research fellow at Performance Project University Settlement — an incubator for the next generation of citizen artists. The past year I’ve been working on a piece called Articles for Flesh, a dance theater project that asks: how can we use agency, community, and love to build a life that uniquely suits us?

I’m working with lineage, my past and current communities, questions around hope and agency and self...I've interviewed people, done 3 works in progress shows, had rehearsals with dancers, consulted advisors...and it all culminates in a show October 2-4, 2025 at Speyer Hall.

What I need to make the vision a reality: $15,000

PHEW. So much money goes into making art! But I…love the theater. I love dance!  I am so touched by watching people bare their souls under stage-lights, or in the club, or at the honky-tonk, or in their rooms alone, or with their loved ones at a wedding. Dance is an ESSENTIAL part of humanity. There is so much joy and love and embodiment and connection when we dance together and watch dance!
