My long held dream is to travel to Japan for an Artist Research Trip, which I finally plan on doing for 3-4 weeks this November right before I turn 60. Will you help me get there? My art has long been influenced by the art, architecture & culture of Japan, but I have not yet been! This journey is a major threshold, one that I believe will transform my work & spirit in ways I cannot yet fully imagine. I will especially investigate: Ornamentation, Space (spiritual & psychological), Presence & Ritual. I intend to carry these influences back home into my work and share them with you & others through experiences in a new suite of paintings and transformative online art workshops.
