This year has brought so many challenges to the Columbia Dance Community. The closing of Mareck Center for Dance put the future of this community at risk. However, our team, with the help of all of our generous supporters, are proud to say that we have given the Columbia Dance Community a lifeline.
Columbia Ballet has continued the mission to provide Mid-Missouri with quality dance performances and education. Our First Friday performances bring professional dance to the community free of charge, our Academy has continued to provide the highest caliber training to students, and our DanceAbility program continues to give children and adults with different needs a creative outlet and community. We are also beginning the journey of bringing a professional production of the Nutcracker back to Columbia this December with performances of well-loved excerpts.
At the end of this year, we want to celebrate all the wonderful accomplishments that our organization achieved with you. Looking forward to the future, we have so many plans to expand upon our successful first months. But, in order to do that, we need to call upon our community to support us. Please consider donating to Columbia Ballet’s Spotlight the Season Giving Campaign this holiday season so we can continue to serve the community. Your support is essential to the success of our organization and the people we serve. Let’s keep the future of dance on its toes!
