Hi, I’m Alex Lemski, and since 2015 I have presented over 100 concerts in the Boston area through the
Creative Music Series. CMS is a grassroots organization bringing you the best creative jazz, avant-garde, improvised, and new music music from Boston and around the world.
We need your help in making our 11th season the best ever. Your donation will help us to meet these goals:
- To present 12 great concerts in 2025
- To pay musicians fair and professional fees
- To move the series to a more sustainable, community-supported way of working rather than one supported by my own limited finances.
The Creative Music Series has presented more than 200 musicians from across the US as well as England, Canada, China, Denmark, Colombia, Norway, Argentina, and Uruguay. During the hard days of the pandemic, CMS presented 18 outdoor performances. Some folks who've shared their music with us are Kris Davis, Eric Rosenthal, Wendy Eisenberg, Mark Feldman, Luther Gray, Burton Greene, Mary Halvorson, Eric Zinman, Charlie Kohlhase, Glynis Lomon, Mat Maneri, Joe McPhee, Joe Morris, Ra-Kalam Bob Moses, Matthew Shipp, Yediyah Syd Smart, Tyshawn Sorey, and Ken Vandermark. If you'd like to see a list of everyone who's played every show, check the
events section of the CMS website.WE'VE GOT PERKS!
We're offering exciting rewards for donations of $20 or more. There are free concert tickets, a brand new compilation album, and a cool CMS t-shirt.
