With over a hundred years of cancer research and billions of dollars spent, the question still looms, how close are we to an actual CURE?  This is a documentary about cancer treatments and how close each of them are to a cure. Secondly, we will expose any treatments or companies that we discover are fraudulent.  This way if you or someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, you will have the information you or they need to choose a treatment and/or which charities you shouldn’t be contributing to.

 

After losing my Mom, I become a cancer advocate and have made it my life mission to investigate a cure.  Now 10 years later I am watching my dear friend battle stage 4 cancer and the only options available are identical to the ones given to my Mother.  This film will be shot investigative journalism style. It will cover all possible cancer treatments and share how close each of them are to a cure.

We want you to be a part of creating this film.  We are making this film to answer your questions, investigate all cancer treatments and learn just how close each is to a cure.  This will help anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer and those who know people who are fighting this disease. The shocking statistics are now, 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer.  We need to be educated on all the options that are out there.  Having gone through the journey with a few people very near and dear to me, I want the information on all treatments to be readily available in one place for anyone who needs it.  Once diagnosed, most people don’t have the time or money to look into the various treatment options let alone seek them out and receive the treatments.

 

With every donation there are perks you will be given.  They grow in value with your contribution.  The most important part of giving is becoming a part of the CURE THIS! ‘team’ and being able to ask 1 question about cancer, treatments or anything related to the topics included in our outline.  We will strive to answer each question for you in the film.  We have a format developed for the film, similar to a structure of a tree – imagine your questions as the leaves on each branch.  Many of the inquiries we investigate in this film will be contributed by you – the people we are making the film for.

Base research completed, annoyed friends and family with all the information we learned, call in every favor we could do get this stage done, borrow equipment from The Camera Division, interviews filmed for start of documentary, editing complete, calls, and private informative interviews started, all platform designed, built, and written, social media platforms started, perks and community involvement created and entire structure of film complete.

 

 

Crowd funding, Crowd sourcing, Community & social media outreach, gathering all questions for documentary, corporate sponsorship, hire crew, additional researchers, bring on interns to assist with social media & questions and further develop script.  This step is crucial, not just for funding, as crowd funding is only one element of our campaign, but more importantly the growing number of people joining our ‘team’.  The more we stand together, the greater chance we have to make ground breaking discoveries of cancer treatments that we all deserve to know of.  Lets save some lives together and hopefully CURE THIS!

 

Outline of travel for different cancer treatments, script outline completed, Continued research, continued community involvement involving questions, live feed social media involvement and continued updates on social media so you’ll know where we will be filming and roughly when.   This is a team effort and you are included in the team.  Please share with anyone you know as they may have some information we are not aware of yet, that may help uncover a treatment and CURE THIS!

 

 

Having just scratched the surface of the many different treatments we have researched thus far we hope to investigate as many as possible and share with you just how close each of them are to a cure.  Along the way we will incorporate into the film any fraudulent, misleading charities or treatments we learn of.

The more people who know about this project, the better chance we have of covering everything that is important and having the community share anything they are aware of.  We will also be live streaming during filming giving some viewers the chance to ask questions live during filming.  This will allow you, the rest of our CURE THIS! team a chance to learn in real time with us.  Tune in and watch us investigate some of the newer cancer fighting treatments, interview some of the brilliant minds dedicating their lives to CURE THIS! or on the flip side of this documentary, watch us expose any charity scamming generous donors live.

 

 

Using our ‘tree’ model we have structured as our base storyline we will edit our interviews, research, cancer treatments and how close they actually are to a cure.  We will incorporate the answers to your questions you asked the best we can in the actual film, but if we are not able to, we will be sure to provide the answers either online or during live streaming, so please tune in.   We will be creating the movie posted during this same time, including all donors ‘in memory of’ their loved ones names on the actual poster.  CURE THIS! Is actually created by the love we have for the loved ones we lost and our desire to prevent anyone else we love from going through the same thing. As one of our perks we offer a tribute photograph of a loved one lost and will be including those images and names after our credits.  It will read in memory of…  listing all names or images as provided. We will also be live streaming during editing and our premier planning as we will announce any ‘team’ members who will be attending our premier of CURE THIS! as our guests!

 

We will premier the film in Los Angeles prior to submitting it to the many international film festivals available to compete in.  Our hope is to have as many people see the film and receive the information as possible.  Knowledge is key and in this case it could be a matter of life or death of someone you love.  CURE THIS! has a big vision, but with you on our team we can’t fail.  There is power in numbers to please share this with anyone you love.

 

 

Aside from being a cancer activist, Melanie Marden produced what would turn out to be an award winning film, called Timeless, in honor of her late Mother.  She wanted to create awareness about brain cancer on its symptoms. The film even earned her the cover, a 6 page spread and interview in Maxim Italy, when her film won an award at the Milan International film Festival and screened at Cannes International Film Festival.

Papa Joe, Melanie’s best friend, garnered national attention (Good Morning America, Rachael Ray) when he lost 250 pounds in eighteen months by walking 5 miles a day and shopping for discounted food. Now the man who helped others get well (he is an official ambassador of the American Heart Association) is trying to do the same for himself, as he battles stage 4 cancer.
