Our Story
Dobbalapolis Productions is a newly formed fiscally sponsored film and theatrical performance company. Based out of NYC, explores new ways of weaving film and performative artistic expression together. Projects use a variety of performance, production, and marketing styles to reach and intermingle diverse demographics. Each project is creatively approached from a specific angle to generate an unparalleled aesthetic experience.
Founded by Andrew Dobbie, he joined forces with producer/performer Blaire O'Leary; and photographer Patrick Mead in late 2018. boom will serve as the company's very first official project and will be the company's initial foray into mixing film into a live theatrical event.
Why We Need You!
Hello world, we're brand new! We need your support now more than ever. Projects like this take a lot of love, sweat, coffee, and yes, money. Aside from the mind-bendingly awesome team we've assembled, we're starting at square one. That's where you come in! We are asking our larger community of friends, family, artists, and supporters to help us get off the ground.
With your help, boom is sure to be a production to remember.
We are looking to raise $10,000. We know, we know. It sounds like a lot. But think of it this way...$4000 of that will go directly to the artists. Another $3500 will go to our hosts - the fantastic off-off Broadway venue The Chain, a company that provides a home for an ever-growing of emerging and established artists. The rest will go to much more mundane (but necessary!) production costs, but we won't bore you with that now.
How Can You Help?
Every dime donated is deeply felt, and goes directly toward making art. If every single person on our email list donated just $20, we'd surpass our goal! What a dream! We ask you now to please consider making a small (or large!) donation toward this exciting project.
As a thank you, you will receive one of these fantastic gifts (shown on the right) from our creative team.
Dobbalapolis Productions is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Dobbalapolis Productions must be made payable to Fractured Atlas only an are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Yup. That means by giving to us you get a tax deduction, along with the assurance that all the money we are gifted goes directly to the project. And...oh yeah...our undying love.
