The Dream Role Players are back at it for Summer, 2025 bringing Shakespeare's "Scottish Play" to Longfellow Park.  Imagine a barbarian past with mighty warriors ready to defend their king.  Enter the witches, whose power depends on chaos and violence, eager to bend the next ambitious thane to their will.  This fast paced version of Macbeth will make its appearance on Saturdays and Sundays at 6pm, August 9 - 31 in Longfellow Park, Cambridge, MA.

Watch our video for a brief description of "The Curse of The Scottish Play"!

As always, our outdoor performances are free to attend but they are not free to produce.  We rely on donations from our patrons to make it all possible.  Tackling The Scottish Play requires extras that are not always in our budget.  We need specialized costumes and specialized weapons.  Oh yes, there will be a lot of weaponry on display but we do have to purchase all those swords and claymores and morning stars - that's a spiked club for anyone not used to fighting with a medieval weapon.  All that fighting requires extra rehearsal time and just like everything else, rehearsal space rents have gone up.  Add that on to the usual expenses - insurance/port-a-potties/stipends for the cast and crew/transportation - we have to unpack and pack up costumes/props/equipment/set pieces after every performance - and we could really use your help.

Here's our poster - the design is on the t-shirts too!

How are we spending your donations?

Weapons - $500
Fight choreography and extra rehearsal time - $500
Costumes - $800
Publicity - $400
Props - $300
Renting a port-a-potty (a necessity when mounting an outdoor production!) - $500

That's our $3000 goal right there, before we spend a penny on stipends.  Anything we raise above our $3000 goal will allow us to increase the actor stipends.

No donation is too small.  No donation is too large either.  In addition to the above rewards, every donation comes with our undying gratitude!

We hope to see you in Longfellow Park in August.  If coming to Cambridge isn't in your summer plans this summer - we hope to see you the next time around.  Any donation you make this year will help us keep going for many summers to come!
