We made our goal! What's next?

    Hello, Herd!

With just 3 days to go, we want to shout THANK YOU to all of our generous donors so far! In no time at all, we reached our goal of $1,000 and were matched up to $750! WOW.

As many of you know, expenses LOVE to pop up in the non-stop world of theatre! As a non-profit organization working with whatever we can, EVERY little bit helps. In the light of transparency, we want you all to always know where and how we would be using your donations. After some recent financial planning, we are still running a bit short to pay for our beautiful performance space. We are hoping to pull through in our final 3-day push and finish anywhere between $1,500-$2,000. That's just $400-$900 more!

If you, or if you know anybody that would love to help out a non-profit theatre company give back, raise awareness on the important topic of Suicide, and make meaningful art along the way... PLEASE consider donating today. Thank you!
Elephant Room Productions, a progressive theatre company based in Philadelphia and New York City, will be presenting Suicide Stories: Gallery of the Untold this September as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival!

    Who is ERP?

Elephant Room Productions was founded in 2014 by Christopher G. Ulloth and Lauren M. Shover, along with a close group of collaborative artists. It began with a simple goal, to create the work we wanted to do on our own terms. Our mission statement is based on our devotion to create work that brings to light the stories and issues that are typically more difficult to face. A couple of our previous projects have included topics such as racism, PTSD, addiction, schizophrenia, and immigration. We bring this work to the public in many different ways: producing staged readings through our Elephant Ears Reading Series, participating in local cultural events and fundraisers, and producing full-length productions. We strive to use our art to raise awareness of the issues at hand and in turn create true change.

Elephant Room Productions is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Elephant Room Productions must be made payable to Fractured Atlas only. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

What is Suicide Stories: Gallery of the Untold?

44,000 Americans alone die of suicide in the United States every year; an additional 1,100,000 attempt. Suicide is an epidemic. Elephant Room Productions is a trumpet for suicide awareness. Victims, those who attempt, and those whom suicide affects are MORE than just a statistic, a number: they are people. We are here to unearth and examine suicide at its core: the reasons behind it, how it affects others and most importantly, how to prevent it.

Suicide Stories: Gallery of the Untold is Elephant Room Productions' first full-length production! This interactive piece of theatre features 9 individual playwrights who have curated original pieces exploring the topic of suicide from the eyes of a survivor. Each piece incorporates its own specific art medium including painting, dance, mosaic, film, etc. to be performed in an interactive gallery setting by 11 different performers.

The point of this piece is to humanize this problem without romanticizing it. We want to start a meaningful conversation while doing these stories justice. We hope you will join us in becoming an ally in raising suicide awareness in hopes to continue the fight against suicide.

    Where is my money going?

    Rehearsal and production space: $1500.00 (750 x2) -**
This production would not be possible without a loving place to perform and rehearse. This campaign will help achieve this goal.

    Miscellaneous: $250.00
Things happen! You never know what unexpected expenses may pop up and we will need a little bit to have just for those expenses.

**We have a very generous donor that has offered to MATCH all donations up to $750. That's right, your donation will help the herd x2!

IMPORTANT NOTE: A percentage of our production profit from Suicide Stories: Gallery of the Untold is being directly donated to charity/foundation dedicated to raising mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
