37 Years. 37 Days. $3,700. Help Bring EdW & Dancers Back to Life!
For my 37th birthday, I'm asking for something a little different. After two years of illness that kept me away from the work I love, I'm beginning again. I'm bringing EdW & Dancers into a new chapter — returning to the studio, creating new work, and working toward bringing our stories back to the stage in collaborative performances.
To celebrate this milestone, I'm launching a 37-day birthday fundraiser with a goal of $3,700.
Why $3,700? Because 37 feels like the perfect number for this new beginning. And because this is about more than a birthday — it's about making space for creativity, community, and the next chapter of a dance company that means so much to me.
Our full production budget is approximately $30,000, so this fundraiser is an important first milestone toward making that larger vision possible. Our team has also applied to several grants and residencies and plans a season of classes, workshops, residencies and showcases.
I'm inviting 37 people — and anyone else who wants to join us — to help make this return happen. A gift of $10, $37, $100, or whatever feels right to you will help us move forward in paying artists' fees, studio rentals, costume design and implementation, and the costs of producing a curated show. That's right, we're performing again! Stay tuned for "Evening(s) of Jazz Dance", a show hosted by EdW & Dancers that invites jazz dance artists of New York to showcase their new and developing works, coming up in early 2027.
If you've ever supported my dancing, come to a performance, shared in the joy of making art, or simply believe that stories deserve to be told through movement, I'd love to have you be part of this.
My birthday wish is to bring EdW & Dancers back to the stage.Thank you for helping me begin again!
With love and gratitude,
