Ensemble Affect is embarking on something new, a collaboration with The Collective Yoga Co-Op, in Chicago, to create a unique experience. Much like EA's own mission to provide affordable access to historical music performances, The Collective is a space which is dedicated to uplifting local marginalized and under-resourced communities, and this combined desire to benefit others made this relationship an obvious one.

Music by Marais, Schmelzer, de la Guerre, Buxtehude, and Charpentier played on baroque violin, viola da gamba, and baroque guitar transport the audience in this meditative, candlelit concert experience. Breaking away from the traditional concert mold, audience members are invited to take a seat, lie down on mats, or gently stretch to the calm, soothing music. Part concert, part meditation, this evening will encourage you to relax, find your breath, and discover something new.
