Join Exponential Ensemble for Season 15: LEGACIES with 10 concerts featuring contrasting programs made of classic masterworks and works by a diverse line up of living composers. 

 

We continue our mission of commissioning new works by living composers that are inspired by math, science and literacy.  These new works are to be performed on our regular concert series and also as part of our interactive educational concerts for people of all ages and backgrounds. 

We need your help to support the production of our programs this season. 

About Exponential Ensemble

Founded in 2011 by clarinetist Pascal Archer, Exponential Ensemble is a mixed chamber music ensemble made of New York City’s top-notch performers and teaching artists. Each season the ensemble presents compelling programs that include both classic masterworks and contemporary masterpieces.

 

Exponential Ensemble’s mission includes commissioning and premiering works by living composers that are inspired by math, science and literacy.  Since 2017 they have commissioned and premiered new works by composers such as Amy Brandon, Robert Paterson, Jessica Meyer, Gilad Cohen, and Jared Miller. Exponential Ensemble collaborates regularly with composer Daniel Ott for the Fordham Composers Program at Lincoln Center’s Fordham University. Recent collaborations included new music residencies with New York City's Composers Collective and at the Mostly Modern Festival, during which Exponential Ensemble premiered six new works by emerging composers. Coming up in January, Exponential Ensemble will be the ensemble in residence at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. 

 

Additionally, Exponential Ensemble curates interactive educational programs that use music as a way to connect with school curricula. These programs have been delivered to organizations such as Music for Autism, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, UpBeat, The Celia Cruz Bronx High School and in other New York City public schools.
