We are asking for your help to produce five two Dance Company at The Mark O'Donnell Theater, an evening of contemporary dance featuring the entirety of five two's repertoire. Revolving around themes of relationships, humanity, identity, and vulnerability, we will showcase four works that we have created since our debut in 2021.

In our initial fundraising campaign, we raised $6,965. All of these funds are going towards compensating our talented collaborators for their outstanding work, dedication, and artistry.

We are still $3,000 away from our final goal to bring this performance to fruition, as projected production fees total over $10,000. Your contributions would support the following components of production:

  • Theater rental and event insurance.

  • Costuming, sound, light design, and crew.

  • Rehearsal space leading up to the performance.

Any contribution is essential to making this production happen and fuel upcoming five two projects.

We are extremely grateful for the warm reception of our work in the NYC dance community and beyond over the last two years. We would like to extend a special thank you to our family, friends, mentors, multimedia collaborators, and supporters who have made this all possible. We would also like to share our gratitude to current and past collaborators, including Emma Dulski, Khalid Dunton, Jalyn Gill, Rachel Ha-Eun Lee, Daniel Ricardo Rocha, and Aaron Smith, for their artistry and commitment shared with five two from its early days. We aim to keep sharing our creativity and connecting with new artists and audiences!

What is five two?
five two Dance Company is a women-led dance collective that shares highly physical contemporary movement rooted in feminine and queer perspectives. We aim to present legible and accessible work that inspires empathy, imagination, and reflection, imparting movement with great expressive agency and exercising viewers’ innate kinesthesia.

Featuring six emerging performance artists, our dance practice strives to unearth deeper understandings of physical and emotional intersubjectivity. five two's movement language draws on the human experience – balancing strength, individualism, and tension with softness, symbiosis, and malleability.
