"a diapason, a diatesseron, a double suprabipartient" is a new duo by experimentalist composer Noah Jenkins that explores the limits of slow music. Tempo markings of eighteen beats per minute permeate the score as unison chords of vibraphone and piano are carefully placed like a zen garden. Harmonies progress in minutes rather than seconds.

This work will be premiered on February 15 2026 at Rosehill Cemetery's May Chapel in Chicago IL. Two days after the 35th birthday Flannau's percussionist Kyle Flens (on February 13), $350 will be fundraised to celebrate both occasions.
