GHOST TOUR is the spooky storytelling of Are You Afraid of the Dark? meets the wacky comedy of the television show Ghosts meets the sweet queer friendship of Heartstopper.
Set today in the invented Southern town of Jepson, North Carolina – widely known as one of the most haunted cities in America – GHOST TOUR follows an unlikely pair of teenagers that turn their local ghost tour company upside down by uncovering ghoulish secrets of Jepson's past.
In each half-hour episode, our protagonists, 15-year-old polar opposites Lee and Vern, will meet a wild array of ghosts from various backgrounds and experiences, revealing hard truths about their hometown and, in turn, themselves.
Throughout the course of the ten-episode first season, these two strong personalities challenge each other time and again as they navigate ghostly hijinks, fierce ghost tour competition, summer romance, and, ultimately, get to the bottom of the mysterious disappearance of their ghost tour company's founder, Dr. JJ...
WHY NOW
Growing up as queer kids in New Jersey and Louisiana, there was no creative content available in any medium that spoke directly to us. We’re now both committed to telling stories that reflect the intersectional LGBTQ+ community for all ages.
Our podcast not only focuses on queer protagonists, but a season full of characters who are rarely placed at the center of the narrative due to ability, ethnicity, race, sexuality, gender expression, and beyond. GHOST TOUR will provide free access to young people to learn about parallel histories in their own lives, cities, and towns, that may have been erased or tucked away.
That’s what the heart of this series is about -- uncovering untold stories and rectifying false ones of the underrepresented and misrepresented.

HOW WE WILL USE THE FUNDS
Two organizations expressed interest in producing/partnering on our series, however, there were
big limitations to what these companies could offer in terms of ownership and budget. Because of these realities, we took matters into our own hands and produced the pilot ourselves (which you can listen to below and anywhere you get your podcasts!), and with your help, we'll produce ALL of season one!
We can't do this without you!
We aim to fundraise to create the best possible version of the series and your dollars will go directly toward covering the stipends for all artists involved, from our voice-over artists to our sound designer, theme song composer, and graphic designer, as well as covering our website and hosting fees, and even compensating us for our roles as creators, showrunner, writer, and director of all ten episodes of the first season.
Join us today and help create the first season of GHOST TOUR alongside us.
Please note that you will receive all prize levels up to the level that you donate. For example, if you join at the SFX tier, you're automatically invited to the Ghost Tour Kids' Club and receive a starter pack in the mail.
If you have any questions, feel free to email us at ghosttourpod@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for your support.
👻 AND -- DON'T FORGET! 👻
All donations to this campaign will be fully tax-deductible through Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
