We are bringing our local community to the table with a performance and lead-up activities of a new play, Dad's Original Tangy BBQ Sauce. Agg has worked for her father's restaurant and cared for her dad in his old age. So she stands to inherit his coveted barbecue recipe. Her brother, Ollie, took a different path, moving to the West Coast and running his own restaurant. But now Dad might be dying, and Ollie is returning home--can he make up for lost time and walk away with the secret to Dad's sauce? Dad's Original Tangy BBQ Sauce is a play about goodwill, doing what we will, and what's left to us in a will...and sometimes, like a good sauce, that gets dark. The full show run of this new play will feature interactive activities to get the audience involved, such as a barbeque sauce cookoff and a costume night: we'll feed our audience's soul and bellies during this production of radical hospitality.
