Background

In January 2020, I released the album "Rubinstein Piano Sonatas Nos. 1&2". The album was a success, and I enjoyed playing Rubinstein's music so much. Back then, I already knew that I was going to take on the other two Rubinstein Sonatas. However, the pandemic hit, and the project got postponed. The world has been very different since then, but the music remains. After so many years, the project is finally back in the record company's lineup, and I am honored to be once again recording Rubinstein's Sonatas. This time, additional help is needed to complete the project. Recording production cost has increased tremendously and the revenue the opposite. Please consider donating to this project if you are equally passionate about classical music and especially Rubinstein's music. If you have not heard his Sonatas, check out my previous album here.

Timeline

The recording of the "Rubinstein Piano Sonatas Nos. 3&4" is scheduled to be on December 18-19, 2024. After the recording, the editing process will take up to 3 months, before the master tape will be delivered to the label company. Once the label company receives the master tape, it will take the company 8-10 months to do post-production, album design, liner notes, printing, and preparation for distribution before the album will be officially released. The expected release date will be in Spring 2026.

Distribution

Naxos has the world's best distribution channels. Once the album is released, the album will be able to be found in classical CD stores worldwide, and available for streaming on all major platforms.

Finance

Naxos is taking care of most of the financial responsibilities, including everything post-production, including partial recording fees. The proposed raised amount will fund the editing and mastering fees (approx. 1.5k) and additional support for the PR in North America (approx. $1.5k).

Please consider doating to this campaign, following the process of the recording, and sharing this with your friends!
