Can we tell you about some plays we like? The rumors are true—Here Are Some Plays We Like, Chicago’s hottest play-reading-slash-party, is coming back with six one-night-only readings this fall. Basically, we’re throwing a party (or six) and you’re invited!

So what’s the story?
If you haven’t already heard, Here Are Some Plays We Like is a play reading series that’s been bringing artist-driven theatre to Chicago for three years and counting. Every year we get together a group of rising theatre talents and give them the freedom to put on…well…some plays they like. We’re not like other play readings: every one-night-only play has an after party where you can mingle, dance, gossip, and maybe even get a little messy with us. So come for the play, stay for the party, and tell all your friends about it the next day to make them jealous.
This year’s readings will take place Sundays from 10/4 to 11/8 at Is/Was Brewing in Andersonville, so come on out and have a one-of-a-kind night at the theatre—or six!

Where do you come in?
If you’re doing the math with us, throwing six play-readings-slash-parties and paying over 50 artists to make it happen is hard to cover with just beer money. We’re raising $5,000 by our first reading on October 4 to pay our artists and let everyone come party with us.
