Thank you and exciting news about Hidden!

First, we want to say thank you for donating to our musical "Hidden." We plan to send individual thank you notes, but wanted to reach out to all of our supporters first. We had a successful campaign thanks to you. While the matching fund hasn't shown up in the total yet, when it is added you will see that we exceeded our goal and raised $25,000! Amazing!

Here is the really incredible news: We are getting a full production of "Hidden" this fall! Mark your calendars - the show will be presented September 6-8 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday matinee) and September 13-15 at KleinLife Theater in NE Philadelphia. We will have auditions in June.

Thank you again - we are so grateful for all of your support.
Jenny & David Heitler-Klevans
Hidden is a musical theater piece by David & Jenny Heitler-Klevans based on the true story of Ruth Kapp Hartz, who as a young Jewish girl was hidden in Southern France during World War II. Forced to change her name to Renée in order to appear French, Ruth and her family rely on the kindness of strangers in a small French village. From a secret apartment to a basement hideout to a Catholic orphanage in a convent, Renée must hide her true identity and learn to survive through a series of harrowing events. Dealing with themes related to identity, allies, fascism, anti-Semitism, refugees, resilience and resistance, this musical will resonate with audiences today.

Thank you to the many donors who supported our successful staged reading of the show last May! Since then we have been very busy re-writing and recording, but now we need to raise money to bring us toward the next step of getting the show fully produced. At this time when both anti-semitism and the vilification of refugees are front and center, we need to get this show out to the public as soon as we can.

Please help us get this timely and important show onto the stage with a generous donation toward our $20,000 goal. Thank you so much!

Donations will be used for the following expenses:
  • Professionally recording the rest of the songs and incidental music ($10,000)
  • Arranging and orchestration ($2500)
  • Creating an educational traveling version (one of Ruth’s priorities!) ($5000)
  • Legal fees ($2000)
  • Submission and Conference fees ($500)

All donations made through Fractured Atlas are tax-deductible.
If you prefer to send a check: Make the check payable to Fractured Atlas. In the memo write “Hidden Musical”. Send the check to Jenny Heitler-Klevans at 7426 Barclay Rd, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
