HOT AND READY is a 15-20 minute dark comedy short film about a butch slacker who, when dead bodies start piling up on her doorstep, must face her fear of responsibility and the fact that she will have too change to live the life she desires. VFX Storyboards We're looking to raise $15,000 to produce our film. This money will go to a variety of things.
We'll use roughly $3000 for stunts, an armorer, and related props.
$1000 will go to set operations and feeding our crew.
We'll use $2000 for our Production Design and set dressing.
$2000 will go to location fees.
We'll spend $5000 on marketing, promotion, and film festival entries.
$2000 will go to post production fees.
We'll be shooting on an Alexa Mini using the Atlas Orion lenses. In a creative sense, we’re not afraid of sacrificing sensor size for the sake of the lenses that come with the camera. Shooting on the Alexa Mini would be optimal for us, as we want to shoot a wide aspect ratio in the Mini’s Open Gate mode. In the interest of the Orions themselves, we hoped to shoot wide and deep focus, with our lenses providing the texture that we need to accomplish the look we’re going for. We want something with texture and personality, and the Orions fit that need best.
Our director, Bebe Butler, is a filmmaker from Louisville, KY. She enjoys writing, directing, editing, and acting.
Our producer, Paige Ballantine Lowery, is originally from Portland, OR. She enjoys writing, producing, and in her free time, cross-stitching.
Delyte Maddox is our incredible production designer born and raised in Georgia. They have done worn many hats on many productions.
Edda Gilbert, our Director of Photography, is from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and has a unique passion for all things film and camera department.
