Hi, I’m Lauren Schiller. I make Inflection Point, a podcast and public radio show from KALW San Francisco and PRX. We're in our 5th year of independently producing this show and this season we’re focused on building a movement of change makers: People armed with information and tools, empowered to act. All based on the inspiration and experiences of women who rise up to break rules and make new ones--and who you can hear from in every episode of this show.

I created Inflection Point in 2015 to show the world what women are capable of.

Since then, we've been recognized in Salon, BUST, Refinery29, Forbes, Fortune, Apple Podcasts' "Bold Women" and more. Over the last five years, we’ve produced 100s of interviews on Inflection Point that showcase authors and activists, academics and authority-busters. All are inspiring women who have stepped up to a challenge and made a difference. 

I was born into a long line of strong women role models who worked in business, arts, media, education and labor organizing, and I’ve literally been marching for equality since I was eight – when I went to Washington DC to support the Equal Rights Amendment with my mom. I was one of the first girls to join the Boys Club in Pittsburgh, PA (now a Boys & Girls Club). I’ve worked in advertising and broadcasting in NYC and SF, and even before Inflection Point, I launched one of the first female-led podcasts. I started Inflection Point in 2015 during Women’s History Month and it quickly gained national attention--we're now a podcast and a nationally syndicated public radio show that remains an independent production.

Inflection Point is about amplifying women's voices, providing a platform that goes beyond sound bytes, and has been built to build each other up. It’s also full of stories, and strategies to turn despair into hope, and hope into action. And sometimes we even laugh.
