Jihye Lee Orchestra [INFINITE CONNECTIONS]

@National Sawdust, Brooklyn by Hoyeon Choi

Jihye Lee Orchestra is currently in the process of creating its third album. With your support, we successfully fundraised and released two albums. The latest album, 'Daring Mind,' earned the Korean Music Award for the best jazz album of 2021 and was highlighted in The Guardian’s list of the 10 best jazz albums, the New York Times’ '5 Classical Albums to Hear Right Now,' as well as Spotify’s 10 best jazz songs. Each step is a challenging yet thrilling journey, and I can’t wait to see this album come to life. Please join us!

                               INTINITE CONNECTIONS (2024)

Consists of nine compositions inspired by traditional Korean sounds and philosophies. Undeterred by the challenges of melding Western music with indigenous Korean folk rhythms, composer Jihye Lee explores what it means to confront grief, the cycle of nature, ancestral ties, and womanhood.
