This is Erica Jensen, casting director, writer, and first-time solo producer! Thank you for clicking on our fundraiser.

Kate was my student at Pace University, and when she asked me to serve as the advisor on her thesis project, I felt both honored and excited to say yes. From the very beginning, her writing struck me—honest, heartbreaking, and disarmingly funny. It stayed with me, and I knew I wanted to help her bring this work beyond the walls of the university.

There are many solo shows, and yes, many grapple with the realities of sexual violence against women. But we are living in a moment when that violence is not only persistent, but too often echoed or minimized by those in power. That is precisely why stories like Kate’s matter. Each voice adds urgency, humanity, and truth to a conversation that cannot afford to quiet down.

I hope you’ll consider supporting this project with a donation. Thank you.

Kate Daley's comedic solo play follows her journey to reclaim agency after trauma, blending humor and heartbreak to transform silence, shame, and survival into connection and empowerment. Between hookups, vibrators, and Tinder, Kate navigates the chaotic hellscape of modern dating. With wit and no-holds-barred honesty, Join The Club confronts a culture of sexual misbehavior while celebrating resilience and desire. Raw, funny, and disarmingly intimate, it asks the unaskable—like whether survivors should wear matching sashes—and invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and heal alongside her as she rewrites her story on her terms.
