Last spring Little Red Light did a private reading of a new original musical: Harry Reems Goes to Hollywood; book, music and lyrics by John Verderber at the Dramatist Guild, NYC.
Needless to say the audience and cast was blown away by the beauty of the music and delightful story of the early days of the porn industry.
The musical follows the rise of porn star Harry Reems who was a down and out actor trying to make it on Broadway. Desperate to be in show business Harry takes a role in an adult film and the rest is history! He also happens to be a nice Jewish Boy. OY!
Little Red is committed to moving this amazing show forward in its development.
We are so pleased to announce we have received a small Grant from ART/NYC Creative Opportunity Fund. This will be the seed money needed to fund half of a workshop of a new musical.
But expenses to produce a new musical workshop in NYC are extremely high.

Broadway is awash with Juke Box Musicals and Movie remakes. This is an original score and original story that features the untold story of the Jewish and Queer pioneers of the porn industry.
What will your donation help us to do?
We are going to produce the show under an Actors Equity Contract and SDC for our Director and Musical Director. We also need to book rehearsal space, theatre rental, microphones. Your donations will make it possible to give this show a first class workshop.
