MetaMORPHOsis: The Life Cycle of the Blue Morpho Butterfly
Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus is Richmond's own and Virginia's first professional aerial and circus arts company. To celebrate our 15th anniversary of teaching and performing the challenging, empowering, creative arts of circus, Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus will perform “MetaMORPHOsis: The Life Cycle of the Blue Morpho Butterfly” free of charge at Agecroft Hall & Gardens on September 13th at 1pm and 4pm. For the duration of each forty-five-minute performance, our aerial silks artists will creatively interpret the journey of the blue morpho, capturing its transition from egg to caterpillar to cocoon into butterfly while suspended from a tree in the gardens. This event is FREE and open to the public in an effort to make our celebration as accessible to our community as possible. We invite anyone and everyone to bring a blanket or a lawn chair and be mesmerized by our aerial silks artists as they perform the life cycle of the beautiful blue morpho butterfly. From 12noon to 5pm, we encourage guests to enjoy the offerings of Petty Markets, which will feature over twenty local artisans, at our venue. Food trucks will be present as well.

Invitation to Donate
Historically, Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus has found support for our projects and mission in the form of grant funding from organizations who receive their own funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), such as Culture Works. Due to diminishing funding for the arts, we are exploring new avenues to gain the support necessary to pursue creative performances and our mission. In addition to seeking sponsorship for the first time in our company's history, Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus plans to celebrate our 15th anniversary via donations as well. We invite you to support us with a donation to "MetaMORPHOsis: The Life Cycle of the Blue Morpho Butterfly" presented by Agecroft Hall & Gardens on September 13th.
Contributing to our 15th anniversary performance of "MetaMORPHOsis" not only helps us celebrate fifteen years of teaching and performing the challenging, empowering, and creative arts of circus in a safe and inclusive environment—it supports a woman-owned business, invests in the arts, and champions a local artist who promotes community and inclusivity here in Richmond through selfless devotion to her students and staff of instructors at Host of Sparrows Aerial Circus.
Our close-knit community and ever-growing company flourishes with support like yours. Thank you for your time and consideration.
