United in Music, Inc. is proud to bring our show, "Moments with Paul", to Israel. Hosted by Haifa English Theater, the show will be presented in the cities of Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Additionally, master classes are being scheduled in each city for various high schools and universities.

"Moments with Paul" chronicles the life of the 20th century Renaissance man, Paul Robeson. Mr. Robeson was a scholar (graduated as valedictorian at Rutgers), athlete (obtained 15 varsity sports letters), actor, singer, lawyer (Columbia Law School graduate) and human rights activist who used his platform as a performer to speak out against the injustices perpetrated upon people around the world. His talents made him a revered man of his time, yet his political beliefs of equality and justice all but erased him from popular history.

 

Our show, starring Jason McKinney as the incomparable Robeson, is a simple set, 2-man production that can be flexible to fit most any venue. Including intermission, the musical will last approximately one and a half hours. Mr. McKinney is joined on stage by Christopher Bagley as Robeson's long-time accompanist, Lawrence Brown.

This is a benefit tour! After tour expenses (airfare, hotel, marketing...) proceeds from these shows and the tour will be distributed to the nonprofit organization OneFamily International. Their mission is "to rehabilitate, reintegrate and rebuild the lives of Israel's thousands of victims of terror attacks".

We humbly ask for your generous financial support of this project. Estimated costs for the tour will be between $10,000 and $14,000. United in Music will raise half of the money and the other half will come from contribution of individuals and businesses.
