The Mosbacher Salon Collective is in its 3rd year! We have grown due to the importance of art in the lives of human beings. We are a classically oriented salon concert series enhancing the intersection of classical chamber music and visual art, simultaneously elevating the level of chamber music performance in Colorado Springs.
This season, we are adding an academic colloquium including presentations, exhibits, and conversations as guests personally engage in an experimental new art project called SŌ SÓ MĒ, or "The Science of the Sound of Music and Emotion." Members of the Colloquium will walk hand in hand with the artists, provide input, knowledge, observe and participate in experimental music and art projects, sound and emotion projects, and are asked to attend once a quarter. The group provides the intimate connection to one another as well as, to art, music, and emotion to introduce and educate the importance of the arts in our communities.
The collaboration between Karen Mosbacher as fine artist and owner of Mosbacher Creative, additional artists by submission and invitation, and various musicians invites opportunity for innovation in producing new experimental artworks, and inspired performances.
The Collective also helps to promote the Pikes Peak region as an arts destination and elevates new and existing opportunities for national or international artists to travel to the Pikes Peak region by featuring local performers alongside internationally recognized musicians, showcasing how local talent stands among the best. The MSC champions creative interests by allowing the performers to express themselves through repertoire selection, and the performances themselves. In addition, it provides a rare chance for the audience to experience the simultaneous intersection of highest-level art and music and to personally experience how paintings, sculpture, installation, and multidisciplinary art is created.
