We are busy preparing for North Atlantic Dance Theatre’s 4th annual production of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker. With it being our first Nutcracker season at The Cabot Theater, and honoring our aim to always provide the best experience for our audiences, we have a few updates planned:

 

·      New Mother Ginger set

·      New Snow costumes

·      New Marzipan costumes

 

The favorite mother of all the little gingerbreads, Mother Ginger, is looking a little tired. She is begging you to help her find the perfect dress! Her wardrobe update, along with other set pieces, including leveling the floor, will cost around $5000 total.

    

One of the most iconic scenes in Nutcracker, the Snow Scene, will also be getting a make-over. As Clara and the Nutcracker journey to a mysterious land, they become surrounded by a blizzard. Did you know the blizzard is not only beautiful, but also incredibly athletic? This takes a toll on the costumes, with each tutu costing approximately $300. This year we aim to have fresh mountain snow instead of trampled city snow. The Marzipan divertissement in the second act will also be getting a make-over. Help us create costumes that will be sure to dazzle audiences for years to come. 

 

We are calling on the help of our community, but most importantly you, to enable us to make an even more unforgettable Nutcracker experience!
