Overview:
The One World Jazz Exchange is a musical humanitarian initiative led by Juilliard students, aiming to bring a jazz quartet to Havana in December, 2024. The project focuses on fostering cross-cultural exchange through the universal language of jazz by donating new brass horns to local schools, leading pro bono masterclasses, performing at local venues, and collaborating with renowned Cuban jazz artists. This transformative mission seeks to deepen cultural ties and enrich both communities through shared musical experiences.
Your Donation Will Support:
- New brass horns to local Cuban schools
- Pro bono masterclasses for Cuban music students
- Pro bono concerts at local venues
- Juilliard students collaborating with Cuban jazz masters
Why We Need Your Support:
We have already secured significant funding for this project from Juilliard, the National YoungArts Foundation, and Horns to Havana, but we are still $5,000 short of our goal. Your donations will directly support our efforts to bring this cultural exchange to life. By contributing to our campaign, you are not just supporting a project—you are investing in the power of music to unite and uplift communities.
