Pallas Players is a new theatre company in New Orleans, La. The goal of the company is to produce great theatre for the community that focuses on feminine presenting stories and provide a voice for marginalized groups. We encourage people from all walks of life to help create and explore live theatre that empowers the feminine perspective. Pallas Players next project is the play Hurricane Diane by Madeline George. "Meet Diane, a permaculture gardener dripping with butch charm. She’s got supernatural abilities owing to her true identity—the Greek god Dionysus—and she's returned to the modern world to gather mortal followers and restore the Earth to its natural state. Where better to begin than with four housewives in a suburban New Jersey cul-de-sac? In this Obie-winning comedy with a twist, Pulitzer Prize finalist Madeleine George pens a hilarious evisceration of the blind eye we all turn to climate change and the bacchanalian catharsis that awaits us, even in our own backyards." (Concord Theatrical)
After our last Production of Sting of Pearls by Michelle Lowe it was clear more plays that voice the feminine spirit were needed. Pallas Players is slowly growing. With support from the community it can ensure great theatre is made. In these trying times when more theaters are struggling, even a small amount of support can go a long way. Please consider a donation to help provide important stories to the New Orleans community.
Thank you
