Pauline Viardot was born in 1821 in Paris. She was born into a world famous musical family and had an illustrious career as an opera singer all over Europe. She knew every musical and artistic personality of her time, composed hundreds of songs and music, played the piano excellently and was a mentor of the great French romantic composers. But if you knew her name, you are only one of a few! After collaborating for many years, singer Laure de Marcellus and pianist Alberto Urroz decided to shed a light on this amazing woman for their first CD. Be a part of the community who will allow her inspiration to be appreciated as what it truly was: a tremendously important influence for romantic composers and an unapologetically passionate music that connects us to our deepest longings.
