Over the past year, Pearl Street Dance Collective has commissioned 7 new contemporary dance works, hosted over 10 accessible dance classes, worked with over 15 emerging artists across the nation, performed in 4 Bay Area Dance Festivals, and collaborated and performed alongside musicians. We are campaigning to continue building these opportunities for emerging artists and create space for the voices of early-career artists to be heard through performance, choreography, production, and teaching opportunities. 

We are a community of early-career dance artists based in San Francisco, and we are dedicated to amplifying the voices of young, emerging dancers and contributing to the arts scene of the Bay Area.

By providing opportunities for performance and artistic growth, we aim to uplift the San Francisco arts community and create space for more dancers' voices to be heard. Through our work, we aim to reveal the raw beauty of the female experience, inviting audiences to experience the vulnerability and power of the human spirit. Inspired by San Francisco’s landscape and natural beauty, our collective wants to expose our untouched authenticity through movement.

Pearl Street Dance Collective is passionate about building a lasting foundation for new artists and helping share the arts with diverse communities in San Francisco.

We are launching this campaign to raise money for our fall performance. This show is featuring the creation of 3 new contemporary works, and we are expanding our team of artists! Any amount will go directly towards paying our dance artists a liveable wage in San Francisco. In a field where finding sustainable work is a challenge, Pearl Street is creating paid opportunities for emerging artists to choreograph, perform, teach, and collaborate!
