We Officially Surpassed our Fundraising Goal! Thank you!!!!!

Thank you for supporting Pin Productions Fractured Atlas fundraising campaign for Famous Lake Park! Over 42 of you stepped up to help us make this scrappy TV pilot a reality. We’re so grateful for all our puppet extras AND puppets heads. We literally could not have done it without you.

We have some big news with this thank you!

1. Though on the page it looks like our Fractured Atlas campaign did not make our goal, we’re thrilled to tell you that behind-the-scenes we really did make our goal. And surpassed it! We raised $7,000 against our $6,800 goal - the money just didn’t hit the page in time for our deadline, but the donation will still count when it comes. We have a very generous donor who made a significant pledge - with matching corporate dollars!

We are so grateful to all of you who donated and supported to our pilot. You should have received an automatic email from Fractured Atlas after your donation - If you did not, please check your spam/junk folders and if you still didn’t get an email, please let us know. So we can be sure to provide the updates and tax donation information to you all!

2. In other news, we are Quarterfinalists! Our writers Susannah Dalton and Braden Greenawalt were just selected out of almost 1,100 submissions for the 2024 Screencraft Film Fund. This is a competition for Finishing Funds. Keep your fingers crossed we make the Semifinals (announced on August 14th).

PS - Pin Productions’s Rumpelstiltskin! was also just nominated for the Children’s Cinema Awards (CCA)

Production Update:The script is complete. We've finished pre-production, including puppet design, construction, animated set design, prop design, and puppet mechanisms. We've recorded all the voices with a stellar cast of incredible NYC voice talent.

We're shooting the puppetry and live-action in mid-August, followed by an extensive post-production phase for this cross-medium project, involving chroma key, animation, editing, colorization, music, and foley.

We'll be screening the pilot in NYC (November 2024) and Los Angeles (January 2025) and submitting to festivals in 2025. We will also be pitching this to be a television series. I mean the puppets are eager and ready to work!

Thank you for helping make Famous Lake Park the best gosh-darn dying amusement park, puppet-animation adult workplace comedy it can be!

Sincerely,

The Famous Lake Park Team

Susannah Dalton, Braden Greenawalt,

Susan Lambert Hatem, José Ignacio Vivero

Holy moly! Just one head left!

We can't believe it – you guys are the BEST! Thanks to your epic donations, we’ve got all but one puppet head for the Famous Lake Park pilot project. Seriously, you rock!

You can check out all the completed puppets below. You did that!

Now, let’s talk about the last puppet head we need: Beef. Yep, you heard that right, Beef. This guy’s the park security guard, a total roided-out gym rat with a buzz cut. He’s known for being a bit too intense about security – like, he’ll protect the park even if it means giving an innocent guest a good thrashing. But hey, right now, poor Beef is headless. And that’s where you come in!

If you can donate Beef’s head, you’ll get your name on a fancy plaque inside his noggin. Plus, we’ll send you a photo of the plaque and a digital certificate. And as a bonus, you’ll get reserved seating for the NYC screening of our pilot.

Thanks a million for your awesome support and for believing in this crazy project. We couldn’t have done it without you! 🌳🪆

With boatloads of gratitude,

Famous Lake Park Team: Susannah, Jose Ignacio, Braden, and Susan

🎪 Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, and behold the spectacle that is Famous Lake Park! 🎢

The Project:

The production and screening of the pilot episode of a series that combines puppetry and animation to tell the story of a dilapidated lake-side amusement park whose eccentric owner values amusement more than human life, and whose riffraff staff has a debilitating morale problem. Oh yes, and the lake is drying up due to climate change. A stinging satire of a country in the throws of late-stage capitalism, Famous Lake Park is a comedic, half-hour, jaunt through the agonizing death of the American dream.

Where we are:

Our pilot episode has been blessed with the prestigious support of the New York State Council on the Arts, catapulting us through production and into the heart of this uproarious adventure. With their generous grant funding, we've been hard at work crafting puppets, assembling a stellar cast of voice actors, and gearing up for the shoot of a lifetime.

Where we are going:

But hold onto your hats, because the excitement doesn't end there! This project is going places – literally! After our NYC premiere on November 30th, 2024, at Culture Lab LIC in Queens, we'll be heading to the City of Angels for an exclusive LA screening at the beginning of next year. And that's just the beginning – we'll also be sending Famous Lake Park off to festivals far and wide, spreading laughter and merriment wherever we go.

How you can be a part of it:

Fear not, dear patrons, for you can be the heroes of this uproarious saga! Your generous donations will propel us to the finish line, covering crucial post-production tasks like sound mixing, editing, and colorization, ensuring that our vision springs to life in all its chaotic glory.

And what's in it for you? Oh, just the chance to join our zany cast as puppet extras! For a mere $20, you'll be immortalized as a "Famous Lake Intern" in the credits. But why stop there? Become a "Carnie" for $30 or a "Tiger Trainer" for $45 – the choice is yours!

And for you smooth operators out there, slide into the role of a "Ride Operator" for a nice donation of $69. Not only will you earn a credit, but you'll also secure reserved seating at our exclusive NYC screening on November 30th, 2024.

But hold onto your hats, folks, because the pièce de résistance awaits! For the grand sum of $250, you can have your name immortalized inside the head of one of our lead characters! Picture it: your legacy enshrined within the very fabric of our comedic masterpiece. Plus, you'll receive a photo of the plaque and a digital certificate, along with those coveted reserved seats for our NYC premiere.

So, don't just stand there – join us on this wild ride as we skewer the American dream with wit and whimsy. Your support isn't just backing a project; it's championing a team of phenomenally talented artists and bringing a bit of laughter to a world that sorely needs it. Let's make Famous Lake Park the talk of the town – one donation at a time! 🌟

And remember, dear friends, to spread the word far and wide! Share this campaign on social media and let's make waves together! 📣
