Point-Blank Theatre Co., is a brand new theatre co. based out of NYC.
To initiate, Point-Blank will premiere a fully-immersive production of The Wave by Ron Jones to The New Ohio Theatre on Christopher St. in the West Village. Most recently performed at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, NY, this adaptation of The Wave has been in development since 2012, holding developmental runs in Fringe Festivals across the US (San Diego, Cincinnati), the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and at The Tank in NYC. There are countless subsequent stories of The Wave, this is the only known immersive production.
Next, Point-Blank takes on the 2nd annual Wet Paint - New Play Festival at The Tank-NYC. In it's first year, Wet Paint produced plays by top-notch authors such as Nick Gandiello (The Old Globe), Mac Rogers (Gideon Productions), and John Yearly, starring actors such as PJ Sosko, & Holly Cinnamon (Netflix's DareDevil) who volunteered their time. Our '19 festival plans to be an even greater success, by a) paying all of our artists, b) actively seeking to include artists from all walks of life, and c) including a theme amongst our selected plays; "walls."
