The Performing Arts Hub of Portland presents FLOYD COLLINS THE MUSICAL.
PUDDLETOWN THEATRE COLLECTIVE
Help us launch Puddletown Theatre Collective. Your support will fund our inaugural production of Floyd Collins and lay the foundation for Portland's next generation of immersive theatre.
After spending years performing professionally, including on Broadway, I founded Puddletown Theatre Collective to create more opportunities for exceptional theatre artists while bringing immersive, site-specific productions to Portland.
Our First Production
Our inaugural production is Floyd Collins, the first step in building an artist-led collective dedicated to bold, professional theatre in unconventional spaces. A short segment of the opening number from a sound-check is posted here in our media section.
Like every new arts organization, we're starting from the ground up. Every rehearsal, every costume, every musician, every performance space, and every opportunity we create for artists begins with people who choose to believe in the vision before it fully exists.
A Bigger Artistic Ecosystem
Our vision extends beyond producing plays. We hope to grow Puddletown into a thriving artistic ecosystem where multiple creative disciplines support one another.
Actors, musicians, visual artists, costumers, photographers, educators, and craftspeople all have something valuable to contribute—and all deserve opportunities to share their work. Whether it's teaching classes, designing costumes, creating artwork, selling handmade pieces, or collaborating across disciplines, we want Puddletown to become a place where artists help sustain one another while creating meaningful work together.
Immersive Theatre
Puddletown believes theatre doesn’t have to live inside a traditional theater. We want to create immersive, site-specific productions that transform unexpected spaces into entire worlds—warehouses, parks, churches, historic buildings, and outdoor landscapes. By allowing the environment itself to become part of the storytelling, audiences don’t simply watch a production; they experience it. Our goal is to bring this kind of ambitious, imaginative theatre to Portland while creating extraordinary opportunities for the artists who make it possible.
The following images are drawn from productions created by a theatre company where Puddletown Theatre Collective’s founder spent years working within this model firsthand—an experience that proved immersive, site-specific theatre doesn’t just work: audiences embrace it, remember it, and come back for more.
