QUEBRADA by Xianix Barrera celebrates resilience and the beauty in imperfection through flamenco music, dance, and multimedia storytelling.

In QUEBRADA—titled after the Spanish word for “broken”—Xianix Barrera invites audiences on a visceral, multimedia journey inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with golden lacquer. This philosophy teaches us to honor our fractures and embrace imperfection as part of our evolution toward wholeness. Instead of hiding our cracks, we reveal them in gold—celebrating resilience, transformation, and the beauty of vulnerability.

Blending flamenco dance, live music, and multimedia projections, QUEBRADA unfolds as an immersive experience of self-discovery, guiding audiences through the phases of Kintsugi—from fracture to healing to rebirth. Directed by Mariana Collado, with musical direction and original compositions by Ricardo Sánchez, and featuring Jose "Cachito" Diaz on vocals, Jeremy Smith on percussion, and Alfonso “Pantera” Acosta on bass, QUEBRADA is not just a performance—it’s a shared experience of mending, resilience, and beauty.

If you can’t make it to the show but would still like to support, your donation will help us bring QUEBRADA to life. Every contribution goes directly toward supporting the incredible artists, musicians, and production team who are creating this powerful work of art. Your generosity helps us continue sharing flamenco, storytelling, and community through this project rooted in resilience and beauty.
