Xianix Barrera Flamenco is bringing a full float to the NYC Dance Parade, and we need your help to make it happen.

Who We Are

Xianix Barrera is a flamenco dancer, choreographer, and one of New York City's most dedicated flamenco educators. For 15 years, she's run Xianix Barrera Flamenco — a school and company that has introduced hundreds of New Yorkers to the art form, from absolute beginners to working dancers.

XBF has participated in the NYC Dance Parade for over ten years and brought a full float to Broadway three times before. This is our fourth float, and we're going bigger! The FABULOUSLY FLAMENCA float will carry XBF dancers, live music, and full flamenco regalia down Broadway to Tompkins Square Park, where the parade culminates in a free public festival open to the whole city.

This year, we're joined by collaborators from the greater NYC flamenco arts community — performers, musicians, and supporters who believe what we believe: that flamenco is for everyone, and that the street is the best stage there is.

Why It Matters

The NYC Dance Parade draws thousands of spectators every year — families, tourists, and curious passersby who've never seen flamenco up close. The parade is the perfect opportunity to bring visibility to this art form and your donation helps achieve this.

Every dollar raised goes directly to float production. XBF receives no organizational fee from this campaign. Your donation is tax-deductible.

Where Your Money Goes

Our goal is $4,500. Here's how it's spent:

  • Float construction + decorations
  • Professional sound system
  • Signage + branding
  • Driver + logistics
  • Parade-day supplies

💃 La Maestra — $250+: The community builder that keeps this art form alive.
