This December, experience FUN HOME like never before...in an actual funeral home! Starring Tony nominees Jenn Colella and Caitlin Kinnunen, this performance will be a staged reading to benefit
Quintessence of Dust Theatre Company.
Quintessence of Dust produces theatrical creations that ask challenging questions, inspire exploration and passion, expose the taboo, and give voice to the underrepresented, through the lens of mental health.
Your donation will help make this reading possible, covering expenses such as performer stipends, rehearsal space rental, instrument rental, performance rights for the show, and more.
You may be asking, why are we raising money...for a fundraiser? Great question! The amount of money that this performance will raise for Quintessence of Dust will be incredibly helpful for future programming, but upfront costs of making the reading happen are high. We are incredibly grateful for your support in making this possible. We couldn't do it without you.
You may also be asking, why not just wait and buy my ticket when tickets go on sale? Another great question! The Plaza Jewish Community Chapel only seats 200. With the incredible talent involved (additional casting to be announced), we expect tickets to go fast. By making a donation of at least $250, you are guaranteeing yourself a seat.
Last but not least, why FUN HOME, why here, and why now? Quintessence of Dust is committed to normalizing the stigmatized. With this site-specific production of a queer-themed musical, we are throwing open the closet doors and welcoming everyone to explore what it means to be true to yourself. So on Thursday, December 19th at 8pm at
Plaza Jewish Community Chapel on Manhattan's Upper West Side, come to the Fun Home!
