It wasn’t always like this, it was once bright and full of magic. Not so long ago, the youngest daughter of the Forest Spirit opened a mysterious box and a dark curse was released.

There she stands, trapped in stone, a reminder that in this new reality, chaos reigns, magic fades and gloom prevails.

All hope is not lost, however, for two heroines have gathered together a rag-tag group of misfits to fight the encroaching darkness, but beware, for there are those who wish for the curse to remain.

Imagine being able to walk into your favorite storybook or video game, interacting with the characters, seeing how they live their lives and helping them solve problems or make trouble.

Zabiti is just that! A brand new immersive (think choose-your-own-adventure) circus-fueled story featuring live music that is poised to generate a movement that will shake the very foundations of what you think about art, cirque and beyond!

The Cursed Forest and Beyond
This project is more than the final performance, it is our dream to make our art bigger than ourselves and we are doing this with three goals in mind:

The Magical Travelling Circus Wagon
In January of 2019, we will build a circus-ready travelling wagon. From May to July of 2019 we will take that wagon on the road to enact our 10x The Impact program. We will partner with 10 neighborhoods with a focus on those which are located in art deserts or places with low access to the arts. Our goal is to bring our wagon to parks and gathering places to showcase 10 aerial studios performing to 10 bands over 10 weeks in free or donation based programming - culminating in a final performance that brings back all of the performers as part of Denver's Underground Music Showcase.

After travelling throughout Denver, our wagon will park itself right outside the cursed forest, offering up its stage to Denver's finest circus artists. Over the course of the year, this stage alone will host over 300 Denver artists.

Our Art Can Enact Change
Our forest is a magical place featuring all manner of animals, some of which have the power to speak. From one of our main heroines to some of the quirky guides within the forest, we have chosen animals that are endangered or imperiled in Colorado. You may meet a gray wolf or a boreal toad (did you know they smell like peanut butter?) on your journey through the forest, and we're not telling this tale alone. We will partner with Defenders of Wildlife to truly bring these animals to life.
