For the last two years, RDU on Stage has connected the Triangle theater community one conversation at a time, and we're not finished yet.
Over the past year, since we started our virtual live chats, our audience has grown exponentially. But many of our new followers and friends don't live anywhere near the Triangle and have no idea what RDU means. So, we are launching our Beltline to Broadway initiative, which will honor the interconnection of the Triangle to Broadway and beyond.
If you are in the Triangle, not much will change. We are still going to provide the strong regional theater coverage and content you have come to expect from RDU on Stage. In fact, RDU on Stage will become an umbrella media group that will provide additional services and resources to our local community (like mentoring emerging arts journalists).
Beltline to Broadway, on the other hand, will become the public face that represents the collective conversations we've been having with artists, not only in the Triangle area, but also in New York, the rest of the country, and around the world.
What does Beltline to Broadway entail:
1. A podcast in which we continue to have conversations about the theater that are grounded in empathy and humanity.
2. Social media platforms that serve as a forum for constructive communication about issues that affect theaters and artists around the globe.
3. Virtual and in-person events that nurture our community and bring us all a little closer together.
So, how can you help?

"I'll see you at the theater."
