We have accepted a venue deal for The Edinburgh Fringe Festival of 2026! We are now beginning to build our strategy and funds for performing at the largest arts festival in the WORLD!
Under St. Marks, Oct. 25 Why Edinburgh Festival? The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the third largest global ticketed event after The World Cup and The Olympics. Shows that come off of a successful run in Edinburgh often find opportunities internationally. Some shows get picked up to be developed into tv shows, such as Fleabag and Flight of the Conchords. Over the years, The Fringe has helped launch the careers of many successful actors, such as Maggie Smith, Robin Williams, John Cleese, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman and Judi Dench. Appearing in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is a career high for actors, directors and playwrights! Edinburgh Festival Fringe performances offers us the chance to be internationally reviewed. Reviews are like a show's credit score-- often looked at when festivals and venues are considering booking us. In the theater, there's nothing like an "Edinburgh Fringe" credit!
What's the plan for "Witches"? History: "Witches" has enjoyed a fantastic run in 2025. We sold out two out of three performances in The Scranton Fringe Festival-- no small feat being out of the range of our friends and community. That means our show sold out through word-of-mouth and advertising! This was a great test of our show's concept and publicity practices outside of our New York City home area. We also had packed houses at our Off-Off Broadway premiere as part of The Days of the Dead Festival performances at the notable Under St. Marks venue in The East Village, NYC. Present: We've applied to other Fringe festivals in the U.S. for 2026. We also plan to make appearances in other cities and areas to help us stay sharp for Edinburgh! We are currently exploring new venues in New York City and Boston. We hope to have at least 2-3 shows every month in 2026. Future: Coming home from the Edinburgh Fringe with positive reviews will open a lot of doors for us as a show and as artists. We hope to return to the city to further develop into a full-length, full-cast show, and secure ourselves a residency in New York City.
