WHAT IS FRINGE?
Scranton Fringe is an award-winning arts organization producing innovative work since 2015
, dedicated to creating a bold, engaging platform for thought-provoking art while striving to promote Northeast Pennsylvania as a viable creative environment. Inspired by the world’s largest annual event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, our organization has become an incubator of unique creative work centered around the performing arts.
In 2025, our 11th annual festival of the arts expanded its audience from the previous year (our best year since 2025), launched another large-scale 3D projection art installation, revived the storytelling podcast
"Life, and," and once again presented our LGBTQ StorySlam. We also supported the premiere of several new theater works and more - including
Ulysses of Scranton, which toured to our sister city, Ballina, Ireland to great sucess!
We love discovery and experimentation within the arts, fantastic successes, and brilliant failures on (and off) stage.
We believe the arts are a catalyst for change in nearly every facet of community growth and deserve a seat at the table.
We trust in the power of what a few creative-minded people can do to help a region truly thrive (and we also love a good party).
With your support, we can:
✨ Showcase more diverse and innovative performances by providing paid work and creative resources to artists.
✨ Create educational opportunities for emerging artists and youth across NEPA.
✨ Tour new theater works to other parts of our region (and beyond).
✨ Reach a wider audience and continue making the arts accessible to all.
Your gift, no matter the size, will make a significant impact. Every generous donation brings us closer to our goal (and all contributions are tax-deductible)!
Donate now, and help us close out 2025 as an unforgettable year for the arts in Scranton!
