The Current Production
We are producing Mercury Fur by Philip Ridley, directed by Charlotte Bydwell
Hosted in Gene Frankel theatre , in SoHo, from 30th of March till the 5th of April.

"Set in a post-apocalyptic world overtaken by chaos, the play follows two brothers navigating survival in a society where hallucinogenic butterflies have replaced drugs and morality has collapsed. To survive, they organize rituals for wealthy clients who want to experience their darkest and most abnormal fantasies."

The structure echoes the moral gravity of an ancient Greek tragedy: characters locked in battle between reason and impulse, dignity and desperation.

With this production, we aim to explore one central question:
*What does it mean to remain honorable and hopeful in a world dipped in sin?

At its core, the piece argues that when systems collapse, human relationships are the final defense against destruction.

Who We Are
Skené is a theatre company—a gathering of passionate actors who believe theatre can still change the world.
We begin were theatre was never meant to be safe and make work that listens to each time challenges its audience and dares to speak collectively again.
Skené believes in theatre as a living public space for free expression, human connection, and ethical reflection.
In the ancient Greek amphitheater under open sky stories were not entertainment, they were necessity.
This is not a “theatre company”.
This is a community.
What begins here with resonate.
